Rude Phone Calls

I am sure that most people receive many annoying phone calls from so-called robodialers. Even though the government is trying to do something about it, nothing seems to work, not even “Don’t Call” lists.

My defense against these annoyances is to ignore them. I simply check my caller ID and let them go to voice mail.

At times, however, this tactic has backfired. I am missing  “friendly” calls because the callers are being rude. Even though I am their customer, my bank, my doctor, and many other service providers are hiding from me by transmitting bogus caller ID information. I am sure you have received many of these.

As a result of this practice of ignoring such calls, I have missed receiving important information about appointments with doctors and other service providers.

When are these people going to learn how to be more friendly toward their own customers? So far, all of my efforts to get them to change have failed. Any ideas?
