Most of us know that getting good technical support is a crap shoot.
For the past two days, I have been unable to send emails from my iPhone, although I have been able to receive them. So, of course, I called for technical support from my email provider, with whom I also have my domain. This provider is very proud of its technical support despite the fact that they fail to deliver quite often.
My phone conversation with the technician was fruitless. He claimed to have little knowledge of how the iPhone handles email. Nevertheless, he walked me through the setup procedure. Needless to say, it did not work. He ended the call with the admission that he could not help me.
Today, I spoke to his supervisor about it and he disappointed me as well. His explanation was that the technician could do no more to help me, because I had asked about the iPhone email system. In fact, I was asking about the need to send emails from my iPhone, not necessarily from the default iPhone application.
Had he thought outside the box, he would have recommended that I use his company’s own mobile app to achieve the desired result. I installed the app and it work perfectly
I only found out that such an app existed through my Verizon representative.
