“Febuary” Does Not Bother Me

I am writing this blog just for fun. We are about to enter the second month of the year. It is interesting that its name is always spelled correctly in print.

feb-2017 february

That’s because it is easy to type it, particularly with the help of spell checkers.

Obviously, however, it is not that easy to speak it.

In recent days, as I have listened to the radio and watched television, not once have I heard the first “r” pronounced. Nobody seems to mind, and that’s OK with me, and apparently everyone else as well.
